NOAA Ship Fairweather (S220) – Replacement Switchboards National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration | Direct Federal Contract

Fail-Safe Electric was awarded a direct federal contract to design and fabricate replacement switchboards for the NOAA Ship Fairweather, a 231-foot hydrographic survey vessel supporting NOAA's Office of Coast Survey. The $555,639 project was executed under Solicitation #1305M219QNMAN0145 and built to NOAA specification S220-324.

The scope encompassed complete switchboard design, fabrication, and commissioning at the vessel's homeport in Newport, Oregon. This project established FSE's capabilities as a direct contractor to federal civilian agencies and demonstrated proficiency with NOAA's rigorous marine electrical specifications for scientific research vessels.
