U.S. Navy Medium Tug & Barrier Tug — Military Specification Distribution Panels U.S. Navy | Modutech Marine (Prime Contractor)

Fail-Safe Electric designed and fabricated 60 custom military specification distribution panels for U.S. Navy vessel construction programs at Modutech Marine's Tacoma shipyard. The $151,518 project supported new construction of the 25' Barrier Tug and 30' Medium Tug platforms, delivering power distribution equipment built to rigorous Navy mil-spec requirements.

The scope encompassed complete panel engineering, component procurement, assembly, wiring, and testing to military standards. Each distribution panel was configured for the unique electrical load requirements of small Navy working craft, incorporating marine-grade components rated for the demanding operational environment of harbor and fleet support vessels. FSE's UL 508A certification ensured all panels met the quality assurance standards required for federal vessel applications.

The project demonstrated FSE's capability to support Navy vessel new construction programs as a qualified subcontractor to regional shipbuilders, with on-time delivery enabling Modutech Marine to meet their Navy contract milestones.
